Day 11 – Tensaw River to Mobile Bay

Mobile, from the water, is a very industrial city.  We saw all kinds of cargo being loaded and unloaded, via barge and ship.Mobile, AL

There’s also a very active shipbuilding industry in Mobile, including Navy ships and offshore supply vessels and platforms.Mobile, ALMobile, AL

We passed two large containerized cargo ports as we approached Mobile Bay.

Interestingly, we saw our first dolphins of the trip just as we left the river and entered Mobile Bay, but didn’t see any more once we got out in the bay.
